This guide explains the various settings you can modify to fine-tune the behavior of the AI assistant within each workspace.

1. Introduction

VAKAV Autonomous provides advanced settings for each workspace, allowing you to fine-tune everything from the AI's personality and chat style to the specific language model it uses. These settings help you create highly customized assistants for specific tasks.

2. Accessing the Feature

To access the settings, click the settings icon (a gear) located next to the name of your active workspace. This will open the configuration panel with multiple tabs.

The configuration panel is organized into five main tabs:

General Settings: Change the workspace name, set up suggested chat messages, and delete the workspace.

Chat Settings: Define the AI's core instructions (System Prompt), select its LLM provider, and manage its conversational behavior.

Vector Database: Fine-tune how the AI searches your documents by adjusting parameters like search preference and similarity threshold.

Members: Manage user access and roles for the workspace.

Bot Configuration: Configure the specific LLM and skills for the workspace's default @agent bot.

4. Key Configurations

Configuration 1: Customize General Settings

In the "General Settings" tab, you can change the "Workspace Name", add "Suggested Chat Messages" to guide users, and upload a custom "Assistant Profile Image".

Configuration 2: Configure Chat Settings

In the "Chat Settings" tab, use the "System Prompt" field to give the AI a personality or specific instructions. For example: "You are a helpful assistant for the legal team. Always answer concisely." You can also set the "Chat History" length and "LLM Temperature" here.

Configuration 3: Adjust the Vector Database

In the "Vector Database" tab, you can control how the AI finds information. You can change the "Search Preference" for speed versus accuracy and set the "Document similarity threshold" to control how relevant search results must be.

Configuration 4: Manage Members

In the "Members" tab, you can see a list of all users with access to the workspace. Use the "Manage Users" button to add or remove members and change their roles.

Configuration 5: Configure the Workspace Bot

In the "Bot Configuration" tab, you can choose a specific "Workspace Bot LLM Provider" (e.g., a local model via Ollama) and a "Workspace Bot model" that will be used by the default @agent bot in this workspace.

5. Tips & Notes

The System Prompt is the most powerful tool for shaping the AI's responses. Experiment with different instructions to see what works best.

For sensitive data, always review the Members tab to ensure only authorized personnel have access.
